Sonya Messier is a commercial photographer with a passion for capturing the strength, beauty, and personality of trucks, heavy equipment, and the people who operate them. With over 15 years of experience, she has developed a signature style that blends technical precision with authentic storytelling.
From dusty backroads to high-profile shoots across North America, Sonya has collaborated with clients including Shell, Western Star Trucks, Kenworth Montréal, Michelin, Mack Trucks, and NRC. She is also the photographer behind the renowned Shell Rotella SuperRigs Calendar since 2019.
Sonya’s approach is grounded in preparation, creativity, and respect for the industry she documents. Whether it’s a sunrise shot on a job site or a dramatic portrait of a driver, she’s driven by one goal: to create images that feel powerful, human, and unforgettable.
